TANZANIA

Welcome to the tantalizing TANZANIA

TANZANIA, the largest African country

TANZANIA, the country with stark contrasts

TANZANIA, the country with a quarter of its land dedicated to national parks, game reserves and game sanctuaries

TANZANIA, the country with the world’s longest and deepest fresh water lake

TANZANIA, the country where the most spectacular annual animal migration commences every January

Yes, here is what TANZANIA allures you to.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
You can get unaware of lapse of time in the Lake Manyara National Park, a lovely forested gem of a game park, spread over 325 sq kms under the wall of the Great Rift valley, gifted with a rich lush landscape and consisting of distinct vegetation zones-groundwater forest with flowering mahogany and fig trees, extensive marshlands and reeds and open grassland on the precipitous face of the rift wall.

The park is rolling in abundance of herds of elephants, troops of baboons, verts and blue monkeys, leopards, big cats, rhinos and plain game. The park, known for its wealth of avian species including thousands of lesser known flamingos, is famous for a spectacular, if not unusual sight,-lions climbing upon the trees and lying on the branches.

NGORONGORO CRATER
You can get thrilled by Ngorongoro Crater, an active volcano some three million years ago, patched atop the Rift Valley escarpment between lake Manyara and Serengeti with its collapsed cone leaving a sunken caldera of 311 sq kms, making it one of the largest craters in the world.

SERENGETI GAME RESERVE
You can witness the spectacular annual migration of animals with such unfailing regularity in the Serengeti Game Reserve, covering thousands of sq kms and constituting Tanzania’s one of the largest parks and symbolizing typical African wildlife with all its primeval beauty.

Serengeti, meaning “endless plains” in local language, with its eye-catching beauty springing from the vast open plains with lofty rocky outcrops, acacia, savannah woodland, scrub, forested and mature treed rivers and the occasional swamp and small lakes here and there, offers the most memorable wildlife experience one can expect, besides offering unrivalled photographic opportunities during the animal migration.

The park, ranging in altitude from 910 mts to 1820 mts, constitutes such and eye-popping beauty that it was immortalised in the film "Serengeti shall not die".

Last, but not the least, here in Serengeti Reserve lies a unique historical find revealing a settlement site of people dating back to 1000 BC to 100 BC.
